Here at the Pentecostals of Sydney we are proud to have many different ministries that enable us to meet the diverse needs of the people of Sydney

Stanley and Robyn Harvey

Senior Pastor

Pastors Stanley and Robyn Harvey were both saved in their youth at the Pentecostals of Sydney and have been involved in ministry since. Starting from their involvement with home groups and music, they eventually became the Youth Pastors before taking up the reigns as Senior Pastors from Bishop Ted Slack in 2009. Pastor Harvey also serves as the Australian Home Missions Director of the United Pentecostal Church of Australia and travels extensively in all capacities. Sis Harvey assists in all aspects of pastoring and is heavily involved in Music and the Infants Ministry. They have two children; Qiana and Joaquin. They are passionate about God's Kingdom and His Word, believing wholeheartedly that the Church is God's voice in this world

Ted Slack
Bishop
Bishop Ted Slack has been in ministry for over 40 years. Over those years he was the National Youth President, Overseas Missons Director and the National Secretary/Treasurer. Bishop Slack has pastored two churches during his ministry. Firstly in Malvern, Victoria and then the Pentecostals of Sydney (formerly known as Grace Tabernacle Christian Centre) in Belmore/Campsie, NSW. He was the Senior Pastor of this church for over 35 years. Under the leadership of his ministry, he mentored a large number of men and women who are currently involved in ministry. Under his leadership 6 satellite churches were started all across Sydney.

Bishop Slack has been a visionary and together with his wife, Sister Daphne Slack, dedicated their lives for the sake of the Gospel of Christ. Known as a man of integrity, honesty and fun, Bishop Slack always has a joke to share.

Bishop Slack retired from Pastoring the POS in 2009 and now serves as the Bishop. He is still very much an integral part of this church.

ReWired Youth
ReWired is an awesome group of young people from the ages of 12 to 36, all from diverse backgrounds, but with one thing in common: Jesus. We meet on Friday nights and do all sorts of things from youth focused services and age-specific workshops, to cooking challenges, sports and games nights, theme parties, and making short films. Our mission is to lead young people to Christ and develop them into the person God wants them to be.

Men's Ministries main objective is to support and encourage the men of the Pentecostals of Sydney to be active in the church and in our community. We want to equip and empower our men to go forth into our city and make a difference in the kingdom of God. As well as going out into the community, we encourage all men to join us on Men's Day, which is held monthly.

Women's Ministries

Our theme for this year is 'Step Up, Step In, Step Out - effective in the Kingdom of God'. Women need women. God created us emotional beings and put a desire in us for fellowship and connection with other women. Women's Ministries of the Pentecostals of Sydney are involved in prayer meetings, focused prayer for children through Daughters of Zion, teaching sessions to help us grow and mature in Christ, times of fellowship and celebrating of each other.

Infants
If you have young children (between 1-3 yrs) and would like to enjoy your POS experience without constantly worrying about your child please be mindful of our Infant Ministry that is open during Morning and Evening worship. This is not just a child minding facility but a place where young children are taught in a safe, nuturing, yet fun environment.

Sunday School
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity of being taught the foundations of Biblical teaching in a safe and nurturing environment, and in a way that is enjoyable and effective. This is an important developmental stage in ensuring that children are afforded a head start for a successful future. Sunday school operates every Sunday morning after the worship service and runs concurrently with our morning service. We cater for ages 4-18 years and have a class suitable to your children.

Jill Todd
New Life Care
NLC classes are especially designed for new believers. As a new believer we know that you will have a lot of questions about God, the Bible and your new Christian life. These classes are designed to meet those questions and assist in your spiritual growth and development. They take place every Sunday morning, following the worship service and during the preaching.

Fijian Ministry

The POS is a very multicultural church just like Sydney and it's surrounding suburbs are multicultural. Fijian Ministry is an outreach that focuses on our Fijian community. Once a month Fijian Ministry hosts a service where the worship and preaching is entirely in their native language. Beyond the service, FM meets for prayer as well as many social events throughout each month.
